Cocoa in Signature and Custom

We don't have this color available anymore but I thought it would still be nice to do a comparison on how different the color is depending on if it was ordered in Signature or Custom. Let me know if you want to buy either pant as they are marked 50% off on my sample rack right now.

Gabby in Mineral

Again this is an outfit I don't remember what I was doing. Out and about town I guess! I try to think of new ways to wear kikaPaprika so I can blog about it. Then I can look at it later and decide if it was a good look or not. I think I put this look together to see if the Cocoa brown Ponte Skinny Pants went with the Gabby in Mineral wash. Gabby was one of those items I didn't think I liked until I got it in a smaller size. I think it works ... do you?

I also wanted to show the waist band and pockets on these pants. So cute and stylish. You can wear these pants instead of leggings but they are pants so you can also wear them on their own. I still like to cover my butt when I wear them. How will you wear them?

Blake in Iris

I actually don't remember where I wore this outfit to. Perhaps it was another networking meeting. Who knows! I do remember playing around with the scarves and love how a new scarf and a different way to tie it totally transforms your outfit. I probably wore the same outfit two days in a row but I changed my scarf. What do you think?

Also, this shirt is last season's color (Iris) but it is very close to this season's Amethyst so I wear it all the time.

Portia in Alligator

I wore this outfit to my Networking Mamas meeting in Redmond where we get moms who own their own businesses to network with their kids. It can be crazy but also really rewarding too. I recently took over all chapters in our area and am looking for people to help organize meetings. This was our first meeting in Redmond and we had a big turnout. I am looking forward to meeting again this coming Friday too. Hope you can join us! 

I have worn Portia in Alligator before but it was as a skirt so this time I wore it as a long maxi dress. I struggled with making it more casual by pairing it with DeLisa. I liked a photo in our Lookbook where the model wore it like a jacket and tied it in the front. I hate adding bulk to my tummy so I just wore it untied. Maybe I should have left it unbuttoned?Or maybe I should have done less maxi? I will have to work on making Portia in Alligator into a casual look.  Got any tips for me?

Networking with Judi

I went to a networking luncheon with this outfit and I also had a marketing table where I set up a table showcasing my clothing. For this month, I decided to do my suitcase demo instead of bringing a rack of clothes. This is where I show how just 6 or 7 items of clothing can mix and match into over a dozen different looks and they all fit into a small carry on size bag that still has room for a pair of shoes and boots. A girl has to have shoes right?

I had fun with this outfit and I loved how Judi dressed the whole thing up. I realize now that I might have grabbed one of my older Simone skirts from my closet as they are a little longer than Elle. Still, it is close enough. What would have made this outfit even better is if I had Susan in Black in my size so I could make this into a business suit. The ponte material is the same for Judi and Susan and I might have been able to get away with tucking in my shirt with Susan because it has a nicer waistband. I considered tucking in my shirt but I just hate doing it. Tell me what you think.

Kendall in Amethyst

Again, I am behind on my blog posts. There just is never enough time in the day to keep up! I am just glad I remember to take a photo of my outfit even if it is a very quick one as I am going out the door or a quick snapshot before I peel everything off and head to bed. 

For this outfit I wanted something easy and casual since I was heading to a fundraiser event that my friends were hosting at a local wine bar. I saw someone else put our Navy Paisley Scarf together with a purple shirt and I liked the way it looked so I threw that on. It isn't my usual scarf tie so I must have made it up that day. Also, I just got these Skinny Pants and I unfortunately ordered them in the custom Cocoa option instead of the custom BLACK option. Oh well. They are now on sale on my sample rack for 50% off and I wore them once. My loss ... your gain. I will show you in another blog post the difference between the custom Cocoa and the signature Cocoa.

Business Attire for eWomen Network

It is official! I am an eWoman now! I went to an event in August and it was filled with amazing women and it had an electric energy. I knew I wanted to be a part of this dynamic group of women. I had to move some things around and back out of some other commitments to make room for this in my budget and my time as well. October 17th, 2013 was my first meeting as a member and it was great. Next month I am doing a vendor table so I have to decide how I want to set that up and what I want to bring. Let me know if you have any ideas for me! Also, check out my eWomen Profile too. 

I decided to wear something more professional this time. In August I wore Charissa which was a great dress and I got lots of compliments on it. I decided to go with a new blazer that arrived and I love how it looks tailored but it is made out of sweatshirt material! I also love the antique brass buttons on Nancy as well. I didn't have a matching Navy/Ink skirt but the heathered Ponte knit Susan skirt did just fine. I kind of like that it isn't totally matchy-matchy. Let me know what you think.

Janis in Autumn print

Ok, I am behind again on my blog posts. Big surprise huh? Well, at least I keep taking photos of my outfits but I am slow at posting them on my blog. This outfit was from Sept 29th, 2013 and I wore it out to have brunch with my girlfriends. It was at this brunch that one of my eyeglass lenses just popped out in the middle of our conversation! We all busted out laughing and almost got kicked out of the restaurant! Needless to say ... I took it as a sign to try something else for a change and I decided to get fitted for contacts. It is something I have been wanting to do for a while and so if I look different in photos... that is why! :)

I just got this new limited edition print offered in Janis and while it isn't something I would normally wear, I really like it! I like being forced out of my comfort zone once and a while. Tell me what you think!
