Discounts on Products I Love

Well, it has been several months since I wrote a blog post here. I decided last summer that kika's business model changed too much to make it work for me so I put it on hold and only took online orders. That resulted in one order for a scarf. It was not a surprise when they shut down my account in February but it was a surprise that they did it without an email or a phone call. Oh well. I have moved on and the only thing left is to clear out my remaining inventory of clothes.

What am I doing now? I am a travel agent with Anywhere But Here Travel and I am loving it. You can find me on Facebook and it really is what you will find me doing 95% of my time.

For the rest of the time, I am going to share my discount with these other companies that I have joined because they have products that I love. I am not in them to make money or work it as a real business. You can go online and order but if you want a discount, then you have to contact me first.

This is the skin care that I have been using since Sensaria went under. I still use a few things here and there from other companies but for the most part I am using this product line. You will have to contact me so I can place the order with a discount for you.

Closet Spring Cleaning Tips

It is that time of year and I have tackled many other spots in my home but the closet should be my next project. I searched for some tips online and liked these the best. Do you have a favorite tip to share? 

Time to clean your closet!

I say first ... Turn on some upbeat music to get you in the mood!

Second ... Find a friend to help you. This isn't always possible but it sure helps to have someone who can be objective about the items in your closet. 

Third ... Decide on a charity (or several) to donate your clothing to. Having a destination in mind for your old clothes makes it easier to part with things. Find places that will take business items that are still in good shape. Find women's shelters. Find organizations that will take old holiday dresses or other formal wear. Find some consignment shops in your area and earn a little money. 

Fourth ... Sort everything into three piles. "Keep", "Maybe" and "Donate". Ask yourself ... Do I love it? Is it flattering? Is it the image I want to project? If not? Toss it! 

Fifth ... Use the same hangers for everything! I love those flocked hangers because they don't take up too much space and stuff doesn't slide off of them. I found mine really inexpensively at Costco.

Sixth ... Group things by sleeve length, jackets, dresses, pants, etc. Then sort them by color (it just looks nicer) or you can put the items you wear the most in the easiest to reach spot in your closet.

Tired of Facebook

So, I finally got tired of posting photos to Facebook and will start experimenting with posting them to this blog. I am hoping it will be easier to organize and easier to see all the photos that feature one kikaPaprika item.
